Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to the questions I get asked most often…
Where are you based?
I'm based in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. Many of my clients are based in East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, but I also work with clients throughout the UK. Regardless of where you’re based, my supportive and “on-hand” approach remains the same!
I’ve been trying to manage my own accounts, and they are a mess. Can you help?
Firstly, don’t worry! Regardless of what your accounts look like now, we can work together to get back on track. After the initial “clean-up”, we can discuss how we can continue working together on a regular basis to keep your books in the best condition.
I want to use accounting software, but I don’t have it. Can we still work together?
Absolutely. I can assist you in getting set up with accounting software that will streamline bookkeeping processes, saving time and providing clarity. I recommend using either Sage or Xero.
Are you insured?
Yes, I have professional indemnity insurance, providing coverage of up to £250,000.
What qualifications do you have?
I’m an AAT-qualified Bookkeeper, and I’m also currently working towards becoming an AAT-qualified Accountant. I’m also registered with the Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers (IAB) for Anti-Money Laundering (AML) supervision.
You’ll get to see my personal information. How do I know my data will be kept confidential?
Aside from personally taking the privacy of my clients extremely seriously, I’m registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) for Data Protection. This means that I handle all personal data responsibly and legally, in line with the Data Protection Act 2018.
I’ve recently started my own business. Where do I start?!
Start by taking a deep breath; the early stages of starting a business can feel particularly daunting. But fear not. We will start with an initial phone call to discuss your business and outline the next steps. The level of support you require will help determine the monthly fees. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out via message, email, or phone call. No question or query is too small.
